About Dr Jeremy Raiter
Dr Raiter is part of a long time Western Australian eye care family. Born and raised in Perth, he is a second generation eye surgeon, and is proud to continue the family tradition of providing gold standard ophthalmic care to patients. He graduated from UWA and has fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology from Emory Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia and oculoplastic fellowship training from the Bristol Eye Hospital in England.
He has experience in all areas of general ophthalmology, particularly in cataract surgery, pterygium surgery and oculoplastic procedures such as blepharoplasty, ptosis repair and endoscopic brow lifts. He runs a specialist clinic for the treatment of blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm, and is also experienced in the administration of wrinkle relaxers and fillers.

Eye Surgery Procedures

Cataract Surgery Dr Raiter has extensive experience in cataract excision and lens implant. He achieves excellent vision results with single vision and multifocal lenses that give patients excellent vision for distance and reading.

Clear lens exchange Patients wishing for vision correction surgery may opt for clear lens exchange. Similar to cataract surgery, Dr Raiter achieves excellent vision results for patients with either single vision or multifocal lens implants.

Pterygium Surgery Dr Raiter was a forerunner in using tissue glue for sutureless pterygium surgery and continues to achieve a far more comfortable recovery period for patients.
- Eyelid and Brow Procedures For patients needing eyelid reduction surgery (blepharoplasty) or eyelid droop (ptosis) correction, Dr Raiter can use CO2 laser to make the incision. This gives reduced scarring and an enhanced cosmetic result. Dr Raiter is also one of few surgeons in the country trained in endoscopic brow lift for ptosis repair. He also surgically repairs lax eyelids that result in excessive tearing, and undertakes eyelid reconstruction following cancer removal.

Non-surgical Techniques

Blepharospasm Treatment Dr Raiter conducts a specialist clinic for the treatment of blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm. He is one of only a small number of medical practitioners in the country treating this rare condition.

Wrinkle Relaxers and Fillers Dr Raiter is experienced in the administration of both wrinkle relaxers and fillers, with particular expertise in the peri-orbital area. He is an accredited trainer in the therapeutic administration of these techniques.
- Neuro-ophthalmology As well as the treatment of blepaharospasm and hemifacial spasm, Dr Raiter also has an interest in thyroid eye disease and nerve palsies affecting the muscles of the eye.

Dr Raiter’s rooms are conveniently located within the Karrinyup Medical Centre, on the corner of Karrinyup and Burroughs Roads. The rooms are across the road from the BP service station, next to the Karrinyup Shopping Centre. There is free parking available on site.
